1. Acceptance
By accessing or using PlotSaga, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, Copyright / IP Policy, AI Content Policy and applicable publishing rules. If we make a material change, PlotSaga may require account holders to accept the updated version before continuing to use account features.
2. Accounts and minimum age
You must be at least 16 years old to create or use a PlotSaga account or its creator/community account features. You are responsible for your account, credentials and activity performed through your account. Third-party services connected to optional features remain subject to their own terms.
3. Your Content and the Licence You Give PlotSaga
Your work remains yours. You retain ownership of the original content and intellectual property you create and bring to PlotSaga, including your Sagas, Stories, original characters, Episodes, films, videos, images and other creative material, subject to third-party rights and any terms that apply to tools or source material you used. Uploading, linking or publishing content does not transfer ownership to PlotSaga.
You are responsible for having the rights, permissions, releases and licences needed for the material you publish or link. If you rely on a legal exception or limitation instead of permission, you are responsible for ensuring that the specific use is permitted under applicable law.
Service licence. When you publish content on PlotSaga, you grant PlotSaga a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, cache, reproduce, encode, transcode, resize, create technical thumbnails and previews, display, publicly perform where technically required for playback, distribute through PlotSaga, and make technical copies reasonably necessary to operate, secure, moderate and deliver the service.
Limited promotional licence. PlotSaga may use the title, creator name or handle, cover or thumbnail and basic metadata to promote that content, its creator or the PlotSaga service through PlotSaga-owned or PlotSaga-operated websites, product surfaces, newsletters, social channels, product demonstrations and press materials. PlotSaga may use screenshots or short previews in organic PlotSaga-owned promotion. Separate creator permission is required before PlotSaga uses a substantive video, image or audio excerpt in paid advertising beyond a cover, thumbnail or basic listing. Service providers may process permitted materials only on PlotSaga’s behalf and receive no independent right to exploit them.
What this licence does not allow. PlotSaga may not claim ownership or authorship of your content, sell the content as a standalone work, license it to a third party for that third party’s independent exploitation, create unrelated merchandise or commercial products from it, or use it to train or fine-tune a generative AI model without separate explicit permission where such permission is required.
Duration and deletion. The service and promotional licences continue while the relevant content remains published on PlotSaga. When you delete the content or close your account, PlotSaga will stop new public display and new promotional use within a reasonable operational period. Copies may remain temporarily in backups, logs, security systems, legal records, complaint files or technical caches until overwritten or no longer reasonably required. PlotSaga is not required to recall lawful promotional material already distributed before deletion, but it will not intentionally begin a new campaign using deleted content.
4. AI Studio
AI Studio is currently a beta/free creative feature. PlotSaga may provide AI-assisted creative tools supplied partly by third parties. You are responsible for prompts and reference material and for reviewing outputs before publication. PlotSaga does not guarantee that AI output is unique, accurate or free of third-party rights. Before monetising an AI Studio feature, PlotSaga will review the commercial, API, resale and output-licensing terms of each provider then actually used.
5. Prohibited and Infringing Content
You may not submit unlawful, infringing, copied without permission, defamatory, deceptive, threatening, abusive, hateful, sexually exploitative, privacy-invasive, malicious or otherwise harmful content. Fan-created, non-commercial, credited or AI-assisted content must still comply with applicable law and the Copyright / IP Policy.
6. Platform Role
PlotSaga provides hosting, discovery and creative tools for user content. PlotSaga does not endorse every submission and does not guarantee that every submission is reviewed before publication.
7. Moderation, Copyright Notices and Review
PlotSaga may investigate reports, Unpublish content during review, remove content, preserve evidence, and suspend or terminate accounts. Copyright and IP concerns can be submitted through the Copyright / IP Complaint process. Allegedly illegal content can be reported through the Illegal Content Notice process. Where appropriate, affected creators may request review and content may be restored if a restriction was mistaken or the concern is resolved.
8. Indemnity / Responsibility for Claims
To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for claims, losses and reasonable costs to the extent they are caused by your content, your instructions to PlotSaga, your unlawful conduct, or your knowing or negligent violation of third-party rights or these Terms. This does not shift to you legal risk caused by PlotSaga’s own unauthorized modification or use of content, PlotSaga’s platform, editorial or promotional decisions outside the licence you granted, PlotSaga conduct not directed by you, or PlotSaga’s gross negligence or wilful misconduct. Nothing in this section overrides rights or liability rules that cannot lawfully be changed by contract.
9. Disclaimers and Liability
The service, including AI-assisted features, is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
10. Operator and Contact
PlotSaga is currently operated from Hungary by an individual and is not currently operated through a registered company. Contact: plotsaga@plotsaga.com. These Terms will be updated if the legal operator changes.
11. Governing law and mandatory rights
These Terms are governed by the laws of Hungary, without depriving a consumer of mandatory protection that applies under the law of the consumer’s habitual residence or other law that cannot validly be excluded by agreement. Jurisdiction and venue remain subject to applicable mandatory law.
Nothing in these Terms limits consumer, privacy, intellectual-property or other rights that cannot lawfully be waived under applicable law.
