1. Core rule
Publish or link only content you are entitled to use. This includes video, images, music, voices, likenesses, text, source material, prompts and reference media.
2. Copyrighted characters and fictional worlds
Characters, distinctive fictional worlds, artwork, text, films and other expressive elements may be protected by copyright or related rights. Creating a new AI-generated image or video of a protected character or world does not automatically remove those rights.
3. Franchise names and trade marks
Franchise names, logos and other brand identifiers may also be protected by trade mark or unfair-competition law. Do not use them in a way that falsely suggests official sponsorship, licensing or affiliation.
4. Fan adaptations and derivative works
Fanfiction, fan films, fanart and other derivative adaptations can require permission from the relevant rights holder. A work being non-commercial, credited, transformative in a general sense or made with AI does not automatically make it lawful. Legal exceptions and limitations vary by jurisdiction and depend on the facts.
5. Public-domain and licensed material
Licensed content may be published where you have sufficient permission for the proposed use. Public-domain source material may be used, but newer adaptations, translations, artwork, recordings and trade marks can have separate rights.
6. Complaints and temporary restrictions
Rights holders can use the Copyright / IP Complaint process or email plotsaga@plotsaga.com. PlotSaga may temporarily Unpublish content during review, request additional information, remove content where appropriate and restore it if the concern is resolved or a restriction was mistaken.
7. Review and restoration
Where appropriate, PlotSaga notifies the affected creator of a copyright/IP restriction and the principal reason. The creator may request review and provide permissions, licences, context or other supporting information.
8. Repeat infringers
PlotSaga maintains and reasonably applies a policy under which creators who repeatedly post infringing content may be warned, restricted, suspended or terminated in appropriate circumstances. Deliberate evasion of prior removals or restrictions may be treated as an aggravating factor.
